SolContacts Terms of Use

Last updated: September 13, 2026

SolContacts is a free address book for public Solana wallet addresses. It is not a wallet, and it cannot move your money.

1. What this app is

SolContacts lets you save Solana wallet addresses on your device, organise them into groups, show them as QR codes, and look up their SOL balance. It is provided free of charge by HashWorks. Using it means you accept these terms.

2. What this app cannot do

SolContacts never asks for, receives, or stores a private key, secret key, or seed phrase. It has no wallet connection and no signing capability. It cannot make a transaction, cannot move funds, and cannot access any balance beyond reading publicly available on-chain data.

3. Addresses are your responsibility

This is the most important term here.

SolContacts checks that an address is a well-formed Solana address. It does not and cannot check that an address belongs to the person or service you believe it belongs to. A valid address saved under the wrong name is still a valid address.

Solana transfers cannot be reversed. Before sending anything to an address, verify it with its owner through a channel you trust. You are solely responsible for every address you save and for every transfer you make using one.

4. No warranty

SolContacts is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. HashWorks does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that balance information shown in it is accurate or current.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HashWorks is not liable for any loss of funds, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of SolContacts — including losses resulting from a mistaken, mistyped, outdated, or misattributed address.

6. Third-party services

To show a balance, the app sends the public address you are viewing to a third-party Solana RPC provider. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies, which are not controlled by HashWorks. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent and to whom.

7. Your data

SolContacts collects nothing. Your contacts are stored only on your device. The Privacy Policy describes this in full and forms part of these terms.

8. Open source

SolContacts is released under the MIT licence. You may read, modify, and redistribute the source code under that licence, which is available with the source.

9. Changes

These terms may change when the app changes. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes, and the date at the top of this page will be updated.
